So happy with this purchase! The search to find this comforter was long and hard, after the dry cleaner ruined my other summer weight bed covering. Great for summer – lightweight but keeps body temp stable! I was suspicious this blanket could moderate body temp while sleeping, but it does a fantastic job. I’ve been able to turn down my air conditioner temperature and sleep more comfortably. Not too hot or too cold. It’s lightweight, so I do miss the weight of heavier blankets, but it does what it says it will. I plan to buy another one to double up for winter. I use a duvet with ties in the corners and the blanket stays put with the corners tied into the duvet ties.

Perfect blanket for Spring! I have the normal Sleep & Beyond comforter, awesome, but too warm for 60s-70s night temperatures. This blanket is perfect for the in between weather. To start out, I can’t speak for someone who sleeps cold. I also haven’t washed it yet as I covered it with a cotton duvet cover to wash instead. It looks durable, but you can’t really tell until you wash it, which I’m trying to avoid doing as much as possible. I also purchased a king size to go on my queen bed as I like to have some overhang.
I sleep too warmly for most down/alt down comforters. When I switched to the love bed the entire set up was too hot with my current very light alt down comforter. When I switched to this it was immediately better. It’s warm and cozy but doesn’t trap heat enough to make me sweat.
I’ve only tried it during this Bay Area winter, so can’t speak for super cold (coldest was 28 F) or warm temps but this works very well so far in the 30 – 40 F range. I sleep with my windows open so it was actually that temp in my room. It seems to adjust to my body’s temperature.
One note is that I did have to hang it and direct a couple of fans on it after washing to get ride of the wool smell, but that only took a day and it really wasn’t that strong to begin with.

Wool comforter: a total game changer! I’ve been using a down comforter for too many years to count. In my new apartment, my room is about 70 degrees humidity and 70 degrees in temperature. It’s absolutely a nightmare to try to sleep in there. I tend to start out freezing cold when I’m trying to sleep, and then my temperature rises as my blankets heat up from laying in them. Usually that all works out fine, but now that I’m in this new apartment, the down becomes outrageously hot and I am a sweaty mess. After a year of insomnia like this I finally tried a wool comforter from Sleep Beyond bedding. Oh my gosh it completely changed everything. I was worried it would be too hot… But instead it is absolutely perfectly balanced. I also thought it would be heavy, but it is as light as a feather! I can’t believe how absolutely comfortable this comforter is, and that it’s possible to sleep in this crazy bedroom now. Now that it’s getting colder outside, my bedroom is about 50 degrees at night. I just put a light blanket on top of the wool comforter if needed, and it is totally perfect! I am so impressed with this product.

Wonderful warm comforter! We live in the Pacific NW USA, the nights do not get super cold and we keep the house around 64 degrees at night. The twin size keep us warm and toasty. Cotton cover is soft and not noisy or crinkling when moving. Blanket is light in weight, you have to tuck it around you (it will not drape over you). Love that its made in the USA and i like the inside corner ties.

I’m converted! I will never go back to down filled duvets. After struggling for years to find the right fill weight, and now, wanting a more humane/environmentally conscious option, I tried the washable wool comforter. I honestly have never slept better. The temperature regulation abilities of wool are no joke. I’m a fairly hot sleeper and not once have I woken up too hot (or too cold) since switching over. I will add a nice wool blanket in the cooler months (and possibly a duvet cover) but downfilled duvets, for me, are a thing of the past. Also love the washability of this option though I haven’t tried it yet.

Better than down! I am very happy with my wool comforter. I have had down and down alternatives and although my husband sleeps fine with either of those, I continued to sleep hot until I purchased this wool comforter. Wool is King in My House for Now On. I’ve Spent a Month Trying Different Materials!
Over the last month, I’ve been trying different types of comforters and I finally found a keeper! Wool is king in my house now.
If you’re looking for new bedding, this post may help you. First, I tried an 800 fp Hungarian Goose Down and a 600 fp HGD… they were super plush and comfy, but did not release heat, so I would wake up in the night and kick off the comforter (as well as had an allergic reaction).
Then I tried a bamboo filled one… super soft, but just too hot. Next I tried a silk filled comforter… it was super soft, but not plush, and it draped over my body, like a cocoon… it did release heat, but not enough… it was still too warm.
On to PrimaLoft… like down, super plush and comfy, and while it did release more heat than the down, it was still too warm.
Lastly I tried wool… I was super skeptical because, you know.. wool! Scratchy, itchy, heavy. Well I could not have been more wrong. This thing is perfect! Cozy if the best word to describe its feel… soft and welcoming. It releases heat efficiently but retains just enough to keep you at a perfect temperature for sleeping. I wish I would have known this years ago.
NOTE: I keep the house around 65°F at night in winter.

Overall really great. We bought this for my wife who has allergies. It’s been helpful in that department. The downside is the king is a bit bigger on the sides (so we fight for coverage) and it’s very heavy so you really need to make an effort to lift it up to you. But other than that it’s very comfortable and fabulous quality.

Love! First off, I’ve never used a wool product before so I was a little hesitant. However when the customer service agent spoke to me about sleeping warm, he recommend the wool mattress topper to distribute the heat and let me have a cooler sleep. Sweet Relief! As mid-life has crept up on me, hormones changes, hair thins, and things start to sag… but I digress. For years, I was tricked into thinking that down was the solution, and how wrong I was. Sweat…lots of it. I know, gross. This comforter is a wholly different experience. It is soft, cozy, warm enough, but somehow equally chilling and comfortable. Seems unbelievable right? I did a ton of research prior to purchasing and narrowed it down to wool vs. bamboo. I bought both and slept one night with each. Wool won with my hubby and me hands down. It was weightier than the bamboo but not at all hot or scratchy as many people think when considering wool. My wife and I have used a bunch of different comforters over the years and have never really been happy with anything. I usually sleep cold and want something thick but she sleeps hot and wants something cool. This comforter is perfect for us! The temperature regulation is in a whole different league than the $50 comforters we are used to. It almost seems like magic, but we both somehow end up at a manageable temperature (Note that we keep our room in the 65-70 degree range at night pretty much year round, so if you are used to something a lot warmer or colder than that, I can’t guarantee this will work for you). We both love the weight, thickness, and softness…and it folds up very compactly for a King-size comforter! You can also definitely tell it has all natural wool! The first wash smell definitely caught me by surprise when I took it out of the machine. It was a clean sheep wool smell, but still sheepy. Thankfully, once you let it air out for a couple days the smell goes away until you wash it, then you just let it air dry and you’re golden. The only real downside is the price. $200 is a LOT to pay for a king size comforter. I’m sure the material and manufacturing cost is worth it, but still, I can’t help but think there might something around half the cost that would do the job almost as well.

Luxury comforter! My husband and I love our new wool comforter. We’ve had it for several months now. Finally not overheating anymore! I am an extremely hot sleeper and it was problematic for me to find good products. However, I was having trouble continuing to overheat with my down comforters (both heavy and light weight), cotton/poly blend comforters, and other things I tried. Per my friend naturopath suggestion she recommended this company. I was skeptical, but I’m truly impressed. I have basically stopped overheating almost entirely. In fact, the comforter *almost* runs cool (in the SF Bay Area) but not uncomfortably so. It doesn’t have the same cozy warm nest feel as down, but it’s comfortable, and most importantly, it keeps me at the right temperature. Even my husband, who is the opposite of me and usually sleeps under *two* down comforters in the winter, has said that it was surprisingly warm. Great product, and great customer service!

Great Upgrade from Down! I had been using down comforters for many years, and just switched to the Washable Wool Comforter a few days ago after sampling it up in the Fton store. Really loving it so far! It is warm, but not oppressively so, and has a nice light-weight to it. Since the fill is more stable than down, I have found the comforter lays inside the duvet better because it doesn’t bunch up or shift as much as my down comforter. In addition, the fill doesn’t migrate to the edges of the comforter like down – no more thinner spots in the middle of comforter.

Best Sheets and Blankets Ever! For all the advertising we are bombarded with about thread count and Egyptian cotton and satin what-not, all of which I’ve tried, the sheets I just purchased from Nest Bedding are my new Most Favorite Sheets. I actually slept in a sleeping bag on my bed recently while my Nest Bedding sheets were being washed because I didn’t want to go back to my old ones. I’m a convert and I’m not going back to the other stuff. Also, the cotton & hemp blanket I bought is both warm and cool, light, yet feels just the right amount of cozy heavy. Love this product! Best investment ever! I’ve got a full luxurious set in my bedroom. Fyi reviewing all three products after a week! The first nights sleep on my wool S&B topper felt like I was rolling around on a cloud. My bed was soooo soft and comfy. 2 inches of fluffy wool between me and my bed is the best investment I’ve made so far. I don’t wake up in the morning with hurting hips anymore. I’m getting a good nights sleep again. The light comforter is so soft and exactly what I was missing

Love the blanket! The blanket is very soft and definitely feels like good quality. Be careful washing it, has to be on a very gentle cycle or better hand-washed. Otherwise it sheds a lot. The manufacturers are pleasure to work with, they have excellent customer service and will do everything to keep customers happy. We were very pleased with our experience. Hopefully baby will love it when she comes!

The warmest Wool Comforter! Love it! Wonderful wool comforter bought for my bedroom. Last week in Seattle it was raining and 45 degrees and I was snug and toasty in my natural Organic wool comforter.

Best blanket ever! This blanket is super comfy and breathable- no more “body overheating” at night! Love this blanket, it is by far the best blanket I have ever had! I usually use those warm cozy fleece blankets because I like the warmth it gives and the feeling of being cuddled at night but those types of synthetic blankets just get hot real fast. The BAD blankie is such a great natural alternative. I get all the benefits of a fleece without the boiling heat, plus a rejuvenated and uninterrupted sleep.
