I’ve done some research on hypoallergenic products and read that wool is naturally resistant to dust mites, and is able to react to fluctuations in your body temperature due to tiny pockets of air within the fibers that circulate heat. This means that wool will keep you warm when your body is cold, and cool when it’s hot. As usual – Google was not wrong, the products of real wool indeed make a difference and this topper is great just like that. I am a wool fan now.

I found this topper randomly, not expecting much to be honest. It’s been a tough journey of mine with lower back pain, and surprisingly (don’t want to jinx it) the topper keeps my back well rested. I used it on top of a spring-free futon to help with pressure points and comfort. It worked and added comfort but most importantly – free of pain sleep. I had the exceptional good fortune to speak to one of the Sleep & Beyond founders. He shared his enthusiasm and terrific philosophy about the products his company creates. I was delighted that he is a conscious businessperson, who loves making superior quality super healthy products. Just as there are doctors who go into medicine for the right reason, these folks create bedding products for the right reason. They are dedicated and committed to purity and quality. They don’t cut corners to make a fast buck like some big brand name companies who charge a high price for non-organic, non-natural fibers and chemicals.
The warehouse sent some extra wool to enhance the loft of my pillow. Package arrived the next day!! Here’s the best part. Sleep and Beyond stood behind their product even though I didn’t buy the pillow directly from them! Wonderful integrity.
Quality of the pillow speaks for itself. It comes encased in a PVC free plastic zippered storage bag. Enclosed are with two cotton pillowcases that fold over enveloping the pillow. The wool-filled quilted cotton cover with zipper is impressive. Encased in that is a zippered cotton cover housing a ton of soft little latex noodles and the wooly puffs. Zippers are perfect. Everything is perfect! The cool part is all these items are contoured the same to neatly fit over each other.
This pillow is what I’ve been looking for. I have a shoulder injury, low back pain and chemical sensitivities. It really does help relieve pressure on my neck and shoulder and aligns my spine. I am retired, on a budget and luckily chose wisely when I made this purchase. This is my new go to company for all my sleep and bedding needs!
