FAQ
What’s the difference between the Honeycomb Blanket and Muslin Blanket?
- Both blankets provide exceptional year-round comfort, with slight differences in feel and sleep experience.
- Crafted from a 525 GSM organic cotton jacquard weave, the honeycomb blanket is cooler, slightly weightier, and more textured compared to our 420 GSM fine organic cotton muslin blanket, which is softer, more snuggly with a relaxed drape that becomes softer over time.
- The honeycomb blanket is appealing for hot sleepers or those who love textured bedding, while the muslin blanket offers a cozier, cloud-like softness that many customers love for effortless comfort.
Approximate blanket weights by size:
- Twin: Muslin 4.2 lbs | Honeycomb 5.0 lbs
- Full/Queen: Muslin 5.7 lbs | Honeycomb 6.4 lbs
- King/Super King: Muslin 7.1 lbs | Honeycomb 7.8 lbs
What makes your muslin blanket different from other organic muslin blankets?
The biggest difference begins with the fabric itself. We use an exceptionally fine, premium-grade 100% organic cotton muslin, crafted from the highest-quality yarns for a noticeably softer hand feel, smoother drape, and more refined finish.
At 420 GSM, our blanket is significantly more substantial than many lightweight muslin options, giving it a luxurious weight, beautiful texture, and enhanced durability while still remaining naturally breathable.
Each blanket is made with four layers of organic cotton muslin double-gauze fabric. Since every double-gauze layer consists of two finely woven layers, the result is an 8-layer muslin blanket that feels exceptionally plush, airy, and comforting.
This thoughtful construction creates the perfect balance of:
- Cloud-like softness
- Breathable year-round comfort
- Beautiful natural loft
- Long-lasting durability
- A more premium, substantial feel
We also stand behind its craftsmanship with a 5-year warranty, offering peace of mind that reflects the exceptional quality of every blanket we make.
Approximate blanket weights:
- Twin: 4.2 lbs
- Full/Queen: 5.7 lbs
- King: 7.1 lbs
In short, our muslin blanket is designed for customers seeking a softer, heavier, more luxurious organic muslin blanket that feels as beautiful as it performs.
How do you achieve the white color, and what dyes are used for other shades?
We use only GOTS-certified, azo-free, and heavy metal-free dyes. To achieve white, we use hydrogen peroxide—a GOTS-approved and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional bleaching agents. It not only aligns with sustainable practices but also delivers brighter whites, richer colors, and maintains fabric integrity.
What kind of sewing thread do you use?
For our organic and natural bedding, we use cotton-polyester blend thread. This combination offers enhanced strength and longevity, as pure cotton threads tend to wear out more quickly. GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) permits up to 5% of trims and accessories to be non-organic in certified products.
